Recent years have seen the emergence of several successful Fantasy films. If Lord of the Rings is like a war epic, and Harry Potter is a teenage highschool parody, then Narnia is probably a Saturday morning cartoon special.
As such, this film is a straight-forward flick designed to make kids gasp at the special effects, hate war, adore cute animals (and hate the scary looking ones. Take that, Shrek!), and stop fighting with their sibilings. Oh, throw in some dual-swords fightings too. Those are always a hit nowadays. Anybody with any sort of movie experiences will be able to predict everything in the movie 15 minutes in. Apart from Lucy, no characters are with any sort of charms or depths. Tolkien and Rowling can yawn better stuff than this.
Nice idea with this site its better than most of the rubbish I come across.
